Fail Engineering provided all design and engineering services for a new AC plant located at
Dixie-Net’s main switching center and headquarters. Fail Engineering provided overall project
management to include determining all requirements, preparation of specifications, detailed
floor plan and cable run drawings, equipment specifications, request for vendor quotes, vendor
selection, contract negotiations, supervision and inspection during the installation of the
entire AC plant.
The new plant consisted of a new 400 AMP main service entrance, new cabling, new 100KW
generator, and new transfer switches. The new AC plant expansion project also included the
relocation of a small emergency backup generator from Dixie-Net’s main switching center to
its customer service center. It also included redesign and upgrade of cabling, breaker boxes,
transfer switches, grounding and all hardware necessary to accommodate the new generator
location.
